“A beautiful day, and bounteous they are – some blue, some grey, but lovelier far
than crush of legion far away, dense of region, tensioned fray.
Through pane observed and pain forgot, a glint of light through branch and thought,
and glimpse of movements quick and sure, impressive raiment, haute couture.
Rocks cry out and leaves applaud, trees ovate and rivers broad,
along with breeze raise breath of hymn to the One who stirs within.”
This view of light and life through a window at our cottage, stirred me to paint and poem.
